Gewurztraminer.A perfect place

World class wines are created by people who possess great enthusiasm and clear vision. Apart from that finding right site with the just right terroir is critical. Vinoptima Estate vineyards lie in a small alluvial plain on the east of Waipaoa river, 26 kilometres far from the coast and are protected by hillsides from three sides.
As well as possessing the alluvial soils ideal for the vines, the Ormond vineyard´s microclimate is hotter and drier than the cooler growing climate on the coast, producing un unusually high intensity in aromatic varieties, perfect for the Vinoptima Estate´s Gewurztraminer grapes.
